Salad is not something only healthy but also delicious but when you go to the kitchen, chop the veggies and fruits Herbs or leafy vegetables for salad mix all of them with seasoned dressing has consumed a lot of time to prepare it becomes an average leafy vegetable salad which is healthy but boring too.
So, let’s make something that is healthy make in no time and also gives crunchy pleasure to your taste buds.
The choice of salad always depends on how much time you have to prepare it. Lots of recipes are very quick and made in just 10 to 20 minutes while some recipes need time to prepare like it is using slow cook, boiling and roasting, etc.
But it doesn’t mean if you don’t put much time you have to compromise with taste. No! you don’t.
You just get an indulgence incredible taste in every upcoming Salad recipe which you can prepare at home without any special ingredients and without investing a lot of time.
When we talk about salad it is the first thing that comes to our mind is taking too much time to prepare to save time in cutting or chopping you can use your electric choppers/ handy choppers to cut the vegetables in the same shape and size. I use a knife and chopping boards for this purpose.
Secondly when you wash the leafy vegetables always make sure the water must be cold and after washing use the vegetables in your salads only when it becomes dry. It helps to remain the leafy vegetables like lettuce, mint, cilantro, basil, green coriander leaves, etc. crunchy. And in fact, when you wash the vegetables in warm water, they will release the crunch and becomes softened and when you use these veggies in a salad the salad becomes soggy.
You have to keep in mind in a regular salad or any salad use of dressing is very carefully done because if you use too much dressing in your salad will make your salad very soggy and also overcome the actual flavor of your veggies, fruits, nuts, and sprouts, etc. And if it is less than the quantity of salad then it is distributed unevenly, and your salad will be dry and get boring. So, it is necessary always make sure the use of dressing of salad must be in adequate quantity.
Always use a cool and chilled plate or bowl to serve your salad it prevents the salad crunch long-lasting.
Try to season the leafy base of the salad with salt and pepper it absorbs extra moisture from the leaf and prevents the salad to become soggy and maintain the crunch till the last bite.

Salad 1 – Anytime crunch cucumber salad:
Serve: 2-3
Duration: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
For Salad
Two cucumber
One tomato large
One red onion rings(optional),
Half Head lettuce
One handful of cilantro or green coriander leaves
For Dressing
3 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
salt and peppers to taste
Preparation
Salad Preparation
- Peel the cucumber and also wash tomatoes and lettuce and cilantro with cold water and make them dry.
- Cut cucumber and tomato into bite-size cubes
- cut lettuce and cilantro into strips
Preparation for dressing :
- Add mayonnaise lemon juice salt and peppers in a small bowl and mix till it becomes a smooth dressing.
Assembling the Salad:
Take a large bowl and add all the ingredients for the salad, add dressing and give a nice toss. garnish with cilantro or green coriander leaves.
And your simple but yummiest Salad is ready to eat. Enjoy.
Salad 2- Cabbage Katora (Bowl)
Serves: 3
Duration: 15-20 minutes
Ingredients:
Cabage 2-3 leaf for bowl
1/4 cabbage strips
100 gm Onion chopped
1 Zukini /Cucumber dice
1 Capsicum chopped
1 Carrot dice
1/4 beetroot strips
6 cherry tomatoes cut into two halves
Mint
Cottage cheese
Green chilly optional
1 tsp Honey
1 tbsp Lemon juice
1tbsp Olive oil
Salt and pepper to Taste
Preparation:
Dressing: Add honey, lemon juice, olive oil , salt and pepper in a small bowl and whisk till you get a smooth creamy dressing.
Make a bowl with cabbage leaf seasoned it with salt and pepper and keep aside.
Mix all the veggies excluding tomatoes in a bowl add dressing give a nice toss and add the mixture on cabbage leafy bowl. Toppings with the tomatoes halves and garnish with mint leaves and shredded cheese.
And Tadaaaa!! Its ready.
Salad 3- Crazy Onion Curd
Ingredients –
2 Onion large
2 Cucumber
1 Carrot
1 tbsp beaten curd
Coriander/cilantro
Salt and pepper to taste
Pinch of sugar
Roasted cumin powder
Preparation:
Peel onion and make rings with the help of slicer and transfer into a bowl.
Dressing:
Take a bowl and add curd, salt pepper, Roasted Cumin Powder and little bit sugar and mix well.
Assemble salad
Add dressing onto onion rings mix well and garnish with green coriander leaves.
Hurray!!! Your Crazy Onion Curd is ready to serve.
